Over the past month I have been able to beta test the up coming office 2010 64Bit edition on my Windows 7 64Bit machine. Mostly I've been using outlook more than any other application in the suite. Thankfully the installation was pretty straight forward and without any problems. When I first launched outlook I couldn't not notice the similarity between the splash-screen of Outlook 2010 and that of IBM lotus notes version 8. Add a comment |

Over the past couple of years I've been contacted by clients saying they downloaded an Anti-Virus/Anti-Spyware program and found out that their pc is packed with viruses. Upon inspection I find out that the only malicious code present is the actual software they downloaded. Microsoft announced on Wednesday that malware writers have created a malicious applications with a similar name, look and feel to the company's legitimate security software (Microsoft Security Essentials) mainly targeted to attack inexperienced users. The fake antivirus is called "Security Essentials 2010" and contains the Trojan Win32/Fakeinit.

I was in that situation numerous time, leaving me having to bear with a slow system untill that application decides to stop reading from the disk.
